This book features numerous vignettes grouped into several themes:
- You: Congratulations on Your Life - Internal Capabilities: Understanding Your Life's Potential - External Connections: Caring for Others in Your Life - Troubleshooting: Taking Care of Yourself - Optimum Performance: Getting the Best Out of Your Life - Specifications: What You Need to Know About Others - Proper Usage: Defining Your Life's Purpose - Assembly Required: Creating Your Future
You Create Your Future with a Pen (pp. 23-24) I love this concept, because it involves imaging yourself at some future point in time and establishing goals for yourself under that pretext. We must visualize the future success and remained dedicated, for dedication means keeping a promise to oneself.
Indian Wisdom: Two Wolves (p. 91) This is a concise and vivid example of controlling one's internal struggles. It reminds us that we are the ones who control the outcome by "feeding" the metaphorical wolf that represents one of two opposing forces.
People Only Act for Self-Serving Reasons, No Matter What They Say or What You Think (p. 112) This insight is spot-on, and as Joe says, everyone still disagrees with this truism...but it is true. And it's not as if this is inherently a bad thing, but rather just the way we humans act. The sooner we accept this concept, the sooner we'll be able to interact with people more effectively.

Vitale, "the Buddha of the Internet," compiles a trove of life lessons from "internet celebrities," motivational speakers, writers and entertainment industry folks in this little book that offers a mishmash of oft-heard self-help homilies. Bits of wisdom and anecdotes are bundled into chapters with titles like, "Your Feelings Are Your Hidden Thoughts" or "How to Know What You Want." Each chapter is punctuated by subheads that address the finer points, including "Naps Are Good," which advises: "When the world seems bleak, when you feel out of sorts, when your body feels tired and you mind seems wild, sometimes all you need is a good nap." Vitale frequently mentions his previous books (The Attractor Factor; The E-Code), and includes short essays from other enterprising authors or "internet marketers" that are virtually indistinguishable from each other's (and Vitale's) in style, content and form. Worth noting is the journey the book takes from the simple advice at the beginning to the hints on manipulating people-"People Will Tend To Say Yes If You Start Them Saying Yes" and "People Will Pay Any Amount of Money to Have Their Inner States Changed"-that creep into the end of the book. Searchers intent on finding instructions on living a fulfilling life should seek a less scattershot book, but readers looking for the odd pick-me-up will find them in large supply here. The sub title says it all. What a power packed hardback. I wish I had been given this at birth and had given it to my children at their birth. Instead I bought it for myself and have given it to my kids now and am teaching the principles disclosed in it to my adorable grandson. Buy and read anything by Joe Vitale, especially this book. |

Joe Vitale did it again! With his captivating writing style, nuggets of wisdom, and from the heart advice, he's written something that is truly inspirational, educational, and enjoyable to read. Some pieces of the manual remind you what you already know and could use reminding about; other pieces can shift the entire way you think and live if you take them in and experience them. The only problem with this book? It's impossible to put down and I'm sleepy after staying up much too late reading it! |

I'll tell you right up front that Joe is a friend but I'm not writing this because he needs my help to sell his book.
Instead, let me tell you how this book came about...
I remember when Joe walked into our weekly mastermind group with the idea for this one. He wanted to know if any of us would like to write a contribution for it. Everyone in the group quickly jumped on board.
For me, it was an opportunity to help someone overcome a challenge that I faced when I was a teenager. One of those "I wish I'd known then what I know now" stories.
But this is Joe's book through and through. And if anyone could have written 'the manual we should have been given at birth', it's Joe Vitale.
A lot of people are familiar with "Mr. Fire" from his books, courses, newsletter and other work. I'm fortunate enough to spend a few hours with Joe every week for the past two years in our mastermind group. So I get a backstage pass to Joe's world. And let me tell you I'm constantly amazed.
In two short years, I've seen Joe lose over 70 pounds and transform himself into a body builder. I've seen him crank out best-seller after best-seller. He's really an inspiration.
But what I've really learned to value is Joe's advice. Whether the topic is marketing, relationships, fitness, business, copywriting or spiritual matters, Joe always seems to have the right answers.
To date, Joe's advice has helped me more than triple my annual income and also to land my first major publishing deal.
Thanks to what I've learned from Joe, I drive not one but two of my dream cars. Later this afternoon, I'll be making an offer on a brand-new custom-built home. I would never have been able to do so without Joe's encouragement and wisdom.
Would you like to be able to get Joe's advice when it comes to facing the challenges in your life? While you could move to Wimberley, Texas and try to join our mastermind group. (Good luck, there's a long waiting list). But you don't have to do anything that drastic. Order the book and see for yourself. |
